Born Dec. 13, 1893, in Washingtonville, he was the son of Frank and Luella Grim Stouffer. He was a lifetime resident of Washingtonville and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the VFW, the Leetonia American Legion post and Mt. Nebo Grange. Surviving are his wife, the former Esther Shepard, whom he married Sept. 22, 1920 in Youngstown: four daughters Mrs. Clarence (Ethel) Bricker of Leetonia, Mrs. Carl (Ruth) Deffenbaugh of Leetonia, Mrs. Samuel (Hazel) Heaton of Woodbine, N.J. and Mrs. Harley (Minnie) Hall of New Port Richey, Fla, a sister Mrs. Minnie Benner of Youngstown, 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at the Woods and Son Funeral Home in Leetonia with the Rev. Dale Giffin officiating. VFW Post 5532 of Washingtonville will conduct military services, with burial to be in Columbianan Cemetery. Obituary sent from Heather 3/24/2016
