Consistent with Troy's observation, there was an unusually long gap, 15 years, between the last two "siblings"-Benjamin Franklin 1829, and James Fowler Jr. 1844. If those dates were true, Sarah would have been about 52 when James Jr. was born--not impossible, but quite unlikely. Also, in the 1850 census, John 1788, had a son, James F. Brockington 1826. James 1826 could have been James Fowler Brockington Sr., father of James Fowler Jr. 1844. In the 1850 census, next door to John 1778 and Sarah was John Brockington 1814, likely a son of John and Sarah, with apparently a son James F. Brockington 1842. James c. 1842 probably was James Fowler Brockington Jr., 1844, grandson of John and Sarah, son of John Brockington 1814, and nephew, not son, of James Fowler Brockington Sr. 1826. Thus, the original contributor seems to have correctly stated that James Fowler Brockington Jr. was named for his uncle, James Fowler Brockington, Sr., but placed Jr. in the wrong generation. That John 1814, not James F. 1826, was likely the father of James Fowler Brockington Jr. is strengthened by the absence of a James F. 1844 in the family of James F. 1826 in the censuses of 1860 and 1870.
