Description	:	Company G, 7th Tennessee Cavalry. The 7th Tennessee Cavalry Regiment, was organized at Trenton, Gibson County, Tennessee, on November 14, 1862. It was mustered out of service at Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, on August 9, 1865. Company G was one of the original nine companies formed to make up the 7th Regiment. Company G was organized in Carroll County on 5 August 1862 and was sourced with men primarily from the 7th and 13th Districts, Carroll County. Most of these men were from the Clarksburg area. Source: the-watchers.com Private, Companies B & A, 7th Tennessee Cavalry, enlisted in Carroll Co, TN on 8/15/1862 and mustered in Benton Co, TN on 8/17/1862 and was due a $100 bounty. Captured at Como, TN on 10/7/1863, he arrived in Richmond, VA by 11/13/1863 and was sent to the Danville, VA prison, where he contracted smallpox. Returned to the Danville prison, he had bronchitis by 3/19/1864 and was removed to Richmond, VA by 4/23/1864 with hepatitis. Released through City Point, VA, he was discharged with the regiment when it disbanded at Nashville, TN on 8/9/1865. He applied for an invalid pension in 1873. His widow, Martha E Joyner, applied for a pension in December 1874. Joyner was the son of Burbin and Lucy Bridges Joyner of Carroll Co, TN. Source: Lila Baker
