Description	:	During a flight from Indiana to Maine, B-26B Marauder #41-17767 suffered a catastrophic failure of the starboard elevator and horizontal stabilizer and crashed, two miles north of Rimer, Ohio, killing all seven airmen aboard. Investigation revealed that two escape hatches detached in flight and struck the tail section of the aircraft, causing complete loss of control of the bomber.
