Pleasanton "Pleasant" Collyer aka Pleasant Collier, was the husband of Margaret Isabelle (Breese) Colyer (1833-1902) and the father of one child, James William Colyer (1874-1882). Pleasant was the son of William Collier/Collyer. Pleasant served as a Private in the Union Army during the Civil War. He enlisted in 1862 in Co. H, 3rd Missouri State Militia Cavalry which later became Co. L., 7th Missouri State Militia Cavalry. He later transferred to Co. H. 13th Missouri Cavalry on September 1, 1864 and served until March of 1865. Several of Pleasant's siblings are buried in Mercer County, Missouri in the Yingling Cemetery.
