Curry,71,of Sioux City,died Feb.27,at his son's residence following a brief illness.Services will be 10:30a.m. Wednesday at St.Boniface Catholic Church,with rev.Kevin Richter officiating.Burial in Calvary Cemetery,with military rites conducted.Robert was born May 14,1932,in Sioux City,the son of Walter & Irene(Mansheim)Curry.He was a member of Heelan's frist graudaying class in 1950.He graduated from University of South Dakota in 1954 with a bachelor's degree in business.He participated in varsity footbal at USD as a defensive end.He served in the U.S.Army from 1954-1956,with the 247th field Artillery in El Paso,Tx.He was a launching crewman in the 7th enlisted class in guided missiles... Curry,71,of Sioux City,died Feb.27,at his son's residence following a brief illness.Services will be 10:30a.m. Wednesday at St.Boniface Catholic Church,with rev.Kevin Richter officiating.Burial in Calvary Cemetery,with military rites conducted.Robert was born May 14,1932,in Sioux City,the son of Walter & Irene(Mansheim)Curry.He was a member of Heelan's frist graudaying class in 1950.He graduated from University of South Dakota in 1954 with a bachelor's degree in business.He participated in varsity footbal at USD as a defensive end.He served in the U.S.Army from 1954-1956,with the 247th field Artillery in El Paso,Tx.He was a launching crewman in the 7th enlisted class in guided missiles at Fort Bliss,Tx.He married Judith Rhoads on May 8,1965,in Sioux City.Mr.Curry worked for the Chamber of Commerce in Anaconda,Mont.,from 1956-1958,the Better Business Bureau of Sioux City from 1958 to 1963,and the Better Business Bureau of Indianapolis,Ind.,from 1963-1967.He then worked for Citizens Saving and Loan in Sioux City.He worked for the City of Sioux City as a property officer for 25 years until retirement.He was a member of St.Boniface Catholic Church,the Knights of Columbus and Boys of 68.He enjoyed watching Sioux City high school football & sports.Avid golfer and enjoyed walking,especially enjoyed his family.Survivors include,his two sons,William & Lori,Dan Curry;former wife,Judith;sister,Elizabeth Norris and John;three grandchildrn,Danielle,Michael and Matthew;many nieces and nephews.He preceded in death by his parents;two brothers,Gerald and Douglas.
