He retired as a well respected Supervisor in the Packing Room. Walter was called up for Military Service,Canadian Expeditionary Force (CEF) in May 1918 and sailed to England for military training. The First World War ended before seeing action in Europe. Walter was discharged from the Military in 1919. Eva Mildred Kinney, (February 24, 1922-June 4,1922). Russell Lawson Kinney(March 17,1924-December 16,1999), Lived in Campobello Island, NB. Married Beda Lank. Edith Mae Kinney (January 3, 1927-January 9, 1927). Doris Marguerite Kinney Hooper(August 21,1928-March 6,1999) Married Omar Hooper lived in Back Bay, NB. Elinor Valerie Kinney Cook(June 30, 1935-January 31,2013). Married Guilford Richard Cook, July 1, 1955 lived in Back Bay, NB. Walter is buried in the St.George Rural Cemetery, St. George, NB beside his daughter Valerie Cook and son-in-law Guilford Cook. His daughter Doris Hooper and son-in law Omar Hooper are also buried in this cemetery. His Mother Josephine Kinney Sprague and Step father Allan Sprague are also buried in this cemetery. His grandfather Murray Kinney and wife Lucretia Dow Kinney are buried here as well, as is sister Mildred Sprague Harris and her husband Obrien Harris. Walter's sister Glenna Sprague Dick is buried in the Moores Mills Cemetery, NB with her husband Herb Dick. Walter's son, Russell Kinney and wife Beda Lank Kinney are buried on Campobello Island, NB. Walter's former wife Irene Mae McGraw Kinney Hooper is also buried in this cemetery with her second husband Lowell Hooper.
