Survivors include his wife; a stepson, Gene Stephenson of Winterset; daughters, Martha Kay Knapp of Burbank, Calif., and Rosalie Jones of Winterset; a step daughter, Lorna Stephenson of Des Moines; sisters, Lucille Russell of Winterset and Louise Ackelson of Des Moines; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, a brother and a sister.
