William was with the NH 7th Infantry Regiment Co I, he was promoted from private to full Hospital Steward on 14 Dec 1861 and mustered out 12/4/1864, he died July 11, 1865 from consumption. It was difficult trying to find any specific information on William Brown, just the few lines above. Father and sons are all buried together with no acknowledgement of their civil war service on the family stone. |
