Description	:	Creighton News May 11, 1906 Quinette Canning was born in Strong's Prairie, Adams county, Wis. January 31, 1867, and died May 2, 1906, at her home near Walnut Grove age 39 years, 3 months and 2 days. At the age of thirteen she left her parental home, locating in Knox county where she resided until the final summons came. In 1883 she was united in marriage to Mr. Justus Butterfield and to this union were born ten children, all of whom survive her and were present at the funeral. At the age of thirteen she left her parental home, locating in Knox county where she resided until the final summons came. In 1883 she was united in marriage to Mr. Justus Butterfield and to this union were born ten children, all of whom survive her and were present at the funeral. Of her immediate family, there remains her father, mother, five brothers and three sisters, two sisters and one brother preceded her to the great beyond. On account of prevailing sickness and other circumstances her father and mother who now reside in Oklahoma wer unable to be present, one brother W.P. Canning and wife of Verdel were present. Mrs. Butterfield has been an invalid for the past two years, during that time she has received medical treatment, but without avail. Toward end she suffered untold agony with patience with patience. She was a faithful and loyal wife, a loving and affectionate mother. Her last desire, shortly before she died, was that God would prolong her life a few years that she might be afforded the enjoyment and privilege to raise her loved ones. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. S. Olsen at the Walnut Grove hall, before a large circle of friends who had gathered to pay their last respects to one they loved and honored. The body was laid to rest in the Enterprise cemetery. The bereaved family have the deepest symptahy of the entire community. Her end was peace. P.T.O.
