Elaine Danner, 91 years, of Lincoln, NE formerly of Fremont, NE died Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Tabitha Health in Lincoln. Elaine was born August 2, 1926 in Sioux City, IA to Walter and Ruth(Corrigan)Hammerstrom. She was a graduate of Cathedral High School in Sioux City, IA, where she lived until moving to Omaha, NE in 1957. While living in Sioux City, she was employed by North Western Bell Telephone Co. as a telephone operator for 10 years and continued her employment in Omaha. She then was a billing clerk for the Hested Stores in Omaha for 15 years. Elaine married Audray "Bob" N. Danner on February 11, 1961 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Omaha. The couple moved to Fremont in 1961, and Ruth was a home caregiver in Fremont for over 13 years. She retired in 1988. Bob died September 19, 1997. Elaine was a member to St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont and St. Pat's Women. She is survived by her brother, John W. (Pat) Hammerstrom of Sioux City, IA; sister, Margaret (David) Lee of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sisters, Dorothy Dunlap and Joanne Purdy. Funeral Mass will be 10 AM, Saturday, January 6, 2018 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont. A Rosary will be said at 9:00 AM on Saturday at the church. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 9 AM to 10 AM. Burial will be at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. Memorials may be given to St. Patrick's Catholic Church. (mosermemorialchapel.com/obituary)
