Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the United Church of Christ in Albion. The Rev. Mary Avidano will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Albion. Levander Funeral Home in Albion is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Coulter was born on Oct. 8, 1908, at Cedar Rapids to John S. and Rachel Ann (Ainlay) King. She attended Cedar Rapids public schools and graduated from Cedar Rapids High School in 1926. She taught at Boone County District 85 School. She married Alvie Frank Coulter on Aug. 26, 1927, at the Methodist Church parsonage in Albion. She was a homemaker and also worked part time at Albion National Bank. The Coulters entered Wolf Memorial Good Samaritan Center in July 1996. Mr. Coulter died in 1999. Mrs. Coulter was a member of the United Church of Christ Congregational of Albion. She served as the Women's Fellowship president, church treasurer and Sunday school teacher. She was also a member of the Albion Country Club Delta Cards Bridge Club. Survivors include two sons, Richard of Nashville, Tenn., and Andrew of Conway, Ark.; one daughter, Beverly (Mrs. Dean) Larson of Albion; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, John King; one sister, Leta Hatten; and two half brothers, Lawrence and Harry Spence.
