Description	:	Mrs. Rachel Lou Stanley Riddle, age 78, of Dobson, widow of the Bobby Lee “Bob” Riddle, passed away on Friday, June 1, 2012, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. She was born on November 15, 1933, in Surry County to the late Irvin Stanley and Ina Key Stanley. Mrs. Riddle was a homemaker and was a member of Double Creek Church of Christ in Dobson. Mrs. Riddle is survived by one daughter and a son-in-law, Sharon (Bill) Hewitt of Dobson, NC; one son and daughter-in-law, Stan (Robin) Riddle of Yadkinville, NC; three grandchildren: Marty (April) Hewitt of Mount Airy, NC, Allison (Jason) Hicks of Dobson, NC, and Samuel Riddle and fiancee Anna Roberto of Asheville, NC; four great-grandchildren: Ashley Carol Hicks, Anthony Chase Hewitt, Julie Beth Hicks, Cassidy Ann Hewitt; three sisters and brothers-in-law: Elsie Stanley of Dobson, NC, Imogene (Mike) Wilmoth of Dobson, NC, Sandra (Herbert) White of Dobson, NC; one brother and sister-in-law, Ted (Lois) Stanley of Dobson, NC. Mrs. Riddle was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Lee “Bob” Riddle, and her parents. The family will be receiving friends on Sunday, June 3, 2012, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Cox-Needham Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, June 4, 2012, at 11:00 AM at Double Creek Church of Christ, Dobson, NC, with the Pastors Roger Sickmiller and Robert “Bob” Parrish officiating. Interment will follow at the Double Creek Church of Christ Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Double Creek Church of Christ cemetery fund, c/o Joyce Hardy, 646 Double Creek Road, Dobson, NC 27017; or to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Mount Airy, NC 27030.
