Description	:	Rachel was born the daughter, and 14th of the 16 children, of John and Ann (Skinner) Rockwell, including a pair of unnamed twins that died at birth. She was born June. 20, 1726, in Windsor, Hartford Co., Connecticut. Little is known of her childhood. She married Hezekiah Crane, of Coventry, Connecticut, April 2, 1746, at age 19. Her father John, died a few months later. It would appear from the records, that the family moved to Bolton Connecticut around 1750. She was born June. 20, 1726, in Windsor, Hartford Co., Connecticut. Little is known of her childhood. She married Hezekiah Crane, of Coventry, Connecticut, April 2, 1746, at age 19. Her father John, died a few months later. It would appear from the records, that the family moved to Bolton Connecticut around 1750. Hezekiah purchased land in Bolton, Conn., May 3, 1750; also in July, 1753, and April, 1754. The births of three of their children are recorded there. They was known to be living there April 8, 1754. In 1756, Rachel would hear of her mother's death. Hezekiah Crane may have served in the Continental Army for a few months in 1778. It was either he or his son. Sometime after the war, they moved back to Windsor. Their son, Hezekiah, died there in 1793 at age 46. Her husband died there 12 years later, at age 83. Rachel would also die there 4 years later, on October 7, 1809, also at age 83. Rachel's ancestry can be traced back through Spanish Royalty, the Pharaohs of Egypt, Xerxes, Alexander The Great, and Sons of David.
