Ralph Johnson, son of Albert and Clara Herman Johnson, was born on a farm northwest of Plainview on September 3, 1910. He attended a rural school near his home in Antelope County and later was engaged in farming with his father. He was married to Eda Bohren of Center on February 24, 1941. The couple lived on their farm north of Plainview until retirement several years ago, when they moved to Plainview. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church of rural Creighton. Mr. Johnson had also served as a member of the Plainview Manor Nursing Home for several years before his illness. After being hospitalized intermittently for cancer treatment in the Omaha and Plainview hospitals for more than four years, he passed away early Sunday morning, June 21 at the Plainview Hospital at the age of 70 years, nine months and 18 days. Survivors include his wife, Eda; three sisters, Florence Weber of Royal, Iola Minugh of Vista, Ca. and Eunice Ginder of Alton, Mo.; two brothers, Marvin of Humeston, Ia. and Alvin of Plainview and several nieces and nephews.
