He was born on July 6, 1923, in Luray and was a son of the late Manuel William and Rebecca Susan Fox Nichols. Mr. Nichols was a former member of the Grace Lutheran Church and was a model maker for Lockheed Martin. He was an Army veteran of World War II. His wife, Dorothy E. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Claude W., David W., John A. and Elbert C. Nichols and four sisters, Carrie N. Woodward, Florence Nichols, Mary E. Foreman and Elizabeth ‘Katie' Armentrout. A funeral service was conducted on Monday, March 24, at the Bradley Funeral Home by the Rev. Jeffrey D. Marble. Burial was in the Beahm's Chapel Cemetery in Luray.
