Description	:	Ralph Curtis Dunham, age 88 of Marshalltown, formerly of LeGrand and Melbourne, died Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at the Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center. Ralph was born on June 1, 1918 in Agra, Oklahoma, the son of George Dunham Sr. and Elcie Sutherland Dunham. At a very young age, his family moved to Iowa and Ralph attended public school in LeGrand. Read More	Ralph Curtis Dunham, age 88 of Marshalltown, formerly of LeGrand and Melbourne, died Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at the Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center. Ralph was born on June 1, 1918 in Agra, Oklahoma, the son of George Dunham Sr. and Elcie Sutherland Dunham. At a very young age, his family moved to Iowa and Ralph attended public school in LeGrand. On February 7, 1942, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served our country during WW II until his honorable discharge on September 3, 1945. On December 9, 1944, he was united in marriage to Velma Lindly in Miami, FL. The couple later divorced. Ralph had farmed in Tama and Marshall counties for many years. More recently, he was employed at the Gray Iron Foundry; and, he had worked at Fisher Controls in Marshalltown for 17 years before retiring in 1972. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the American Legion. For the past several years, Ralph enjoyed wintering in Glendale, AZ. Survivors include two children: a daughter, Lori Dunham Mercer of Longmont, CO and a son, Len (Christy) Dunham of Newton, IA and four grandchildren: Seth (Michelle), Tate, Tori and Cali Dunham. In eternal life, Ralph is reunited with his parents and four brothers: Audimer, Raymond, Charles and George Dunham, Jr.
