Description	:	Ralph DeWayne Johnson, son of Ralph Carter and Opal Maxine (Seigal) Johnson, was born on April 17, 1940 in Albion, Nebraska. 0Ralph received his elementary education at Albion Public Schools and graduated from Albion High School in 1958. On November 28, 1958 he enlisted in the United States Navy and served until his honorable discharge on February 14, 1963. Read More	Ralph DeWayne Johnson, son of Ralph Carter and Opal Maxine (Seigal) Johnson, was born on April 17, 1940 in Albion, Nebraska. 0Ralph received his elementary education at Albion Public Schools and graduated from Albion High School in 1958. On November 28, 1958 he enlisted in the United States Navy and served until his honorable discharge on February 14, 1963. Ralph was then married to Beverly VanBuren and they lived in Fulton, New York. To this union four children were born: Troy, Jay, Ralph Carter and Dorothy. While in New York, he was employed with Nestlé's Chocolate Factory. In time they divorced and Beverly later passed away. Upon his return to Nebraska in 1984, Ralph worked painting the Catholic Church and doing many odd jobs around Albion. He then began working for Sullivan Motors in Albion. On July 2, 1988, Ralph was united in marriage to Mary (Morrison) Oates at the Methodist Church in Albion. They made their home in Albion. On September 4, 1997, Mary died as a result of an automobile accident. Ralph loved watching car races. He was a huge NASCAR fan as well as a local Boone County Raceway fan. He also enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. Most early mornings you could find him at White Star Oil enjoying coffee with his buddies or grabbing a break afternoons at Thriftyway with the gang. Ralph is survived by his 4 children: Troy Johnson and wife Mary Beth, Jay Johnson and wife Robin, Ralph Carter Johnson and wife Cathy, and Dorothy Fenske and husband Andy, all of New York; several grandchildren; 8 siblings: Bob (Norma) Johnson of Omaha; Karen (Ed) Kelley and John (Donna) Johnson both of Albion; Marilyn (Dave) Huebner of Kamrar, IA; Donna Eltiste of Flower Mound, TX; Tim (Rhonda) Johnson of Lexington; Linda (Terry) Shaw of Central City, NE; Susie (Clayton) Wenburg of Lexington. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Rex, and his 2 wives Beverly and Mary.
