Description	:	Ralph Siren aged fifteen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Siren of 820 F street was drowned yesterday afternoon while bathing in a pond some distance west of the Capital Beach lake. There were four companions with him when the drowning occurred. Siren could not swim. The water in places there is said to be twenty feet deep. In some way the boy got into a place that was too deep for him. His companions did not notice him until he had sunk the first time and was calling for help. They were a considerable distance from him at the time as they were able to swim and were out in the deeper places. Two of the boys, Marvin Thomas and Earl Giesler at once swan toward him and got hold of him when he came up. In the struggle the three were taken under the water and in the end the drowning youth slipped away from their grasp. A searching party was organized and the body was located after a search of about an hour. The coroner decided that no inquest was necessary as there were four witnesses to the drowning. The boy's father, Joseph Siren is a traveling salesman for the Granger Brothers company. Funeral Notice: The funeral of Ralph Siren, the fifteen-year-old boy who was drowned while bath at Capitol Beach, will be held today at 9:30 a.m. from the J street church. Burial in Calvary cemetery.
