Description	:	STANLEY DOBSON - Ralph Fuller Stanley of Dobson passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 1, 2010. He was born on October 18, 1930 to Genie D. and Rosa Stanley. He married Maxine Dockery, and they enjoyed 61 wonderful years together. They have three children; four grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Read More	STANLEY DOBSON - Ralph Fuller Stanley of Dobson passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 1, 2010. He was born on October 18, 1930 to Genie D. and Rosa Stanley. He married Maxine Dockery, and they enjoyed 61 wonderful years together. They have three children; four grandchildren; and one great-grandson. He was predeceased by his parents; a young sister, Belvia Stanley; a brother, Aire Stanley; and another sister, Essie Barker. He had a strong faith and was a lifelong member of Mount Hermon Baptist Church. He served as a deacon and loved the church and its members. A carpenter, by trade, he was called upon for every construction project at church. Large or smallit didn't matter. It was his gift to the church. He had a talent for woodworking and was always ready to offer a hand to a neighbor. His love for his wife and family was apparent to everyone who knew him. He couldn't give enough, or do enough for them. He is survived by his wife, Maxine Dockery Stanley, of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Karen Stanley and Tommy Haynes of State Road; son, Brent Stanley, of Raleigh; and son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Cindy Fowler Stanley of Boonville. Grandchildren include Meredith Haynes McGurn and husband Jon; Amanda Haynes McGovern and husband Matt; Kayla Stanley, and Adam Stanley. He had one great-grandson, Hayden Thomas McGovern. He is also survived by one brother-in-law, five sister-in-laws, and several very special nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held Monday, October 4, 2010 at Mount Hermon Baptist Church at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, October 3, 2010 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Flowers will be accepted, or donations may be made to Mount Hermon Baptist Church. His family and community have lost a wonderful, loving and caring man. He will be missed not because of what he could do for others, but because of his great love for them. This lesson he learned from "The Master Carpenter," with whom he will spend eternity.
