Description	:	Ralph Joseph Vaught, 56, of 511 Rogers Street, Aberdeen, died Tuesday, Oct. 21 at Perry Point Veterans Hospital. He was the husband of Faye Fender Vaught. Born in Grassy Creek, N.C., he was the son of the late Fred Thomas and Ida Rutherford Vaught. Read More	Ralph Joseph Vaught, 56, of 511 Rogers Street, Aberdeen, died Tuesday, Oct. 21 at Perry Point Veterans Hospital. He was the husband of Faye Fender Vaught. Born in Grassy Creek, N.C., he was the son of the late Fred Thomas and Ida Rutherford Vaught. He served in three major combat companies during World War II and was with the famed 129th Infantry Division of the late Gen. George S. Patton. Mr. Vaught was seriously wounded in action and later received many decorations. After months of hospitalization, he returned home and had been employed at the time of his death for the past 36 years at the Ideal Diner in Aberdeen. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Betty Jo Vaught, at home; three brothers, Robert Blaine Vaught of Aberdeen, Charles Thomas Vaught of Bel Air, and William C. Vaught of Cincinnati, Ohio; and two sisters, Anna Mae Roebuck of Aberdeen, and Myrtle R. Fritch of Bel Air. Funeral services were conducted Friday, Oct. 24 at 2 p.m. in the Tarring Funeral Home P.A. of Aberdeen with the Rev. John H. S. Austin, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, Joppa, officiating. Interment was with military honors in Baker's Cemetery, near Aberdeen. Serving as pallbearers were Harry F. Bauer Sr., Harry F. Bauer Jr., Mack Maurice, George Englesson, Robert T. Tacker and Joseph Papalia. Published in The Aegis; Thurs., Oct. 30, 1975.
