His early childhood was spent in Wyoming and Montana. He graduated from Belt Valley High School in 1931. He became a journeyman in meat cutting. He owned and operated his own business, before becoming a partner in Berger Meat Co. in Great Falls, MT. He came to Wenatchee in 1953, and owned and operated the Arrow Cafe & Tavern. Read More	Wenatchee World - Saturday, November 10, 2007 Ralph "Frosty" LaVerne Honaker Wenatchee Ralph "Frosty" LaVerne Honaker was born to Myrtle Close and Charles Alfred Honaker on October 16, 1911, in Cedar Bluffs, NE. His early childhood was spent in Wyoming and Montana. He graduated from Belt Valley High School in 1931. He became a journeyman in meat cutting. He owned and operated his own business, before becoming a partner in Berger Meat Co. in Great Falls, MT. He came to Wenatchee in 1953, and owned and operated the Arrow Cafe & Tavern. He later bought Ernie's Grocery, which he operated until his retirement in 1979. He was a member of the Eagles, Knights of Columbus, Wenatchee Golf and Country Club and a former member of the Lions Club. He was a leader of the Explorer Scouts Program. He enjoyed dancing, traveling, golf and especially having relatives and friends over for the holidays. We were blessed to have Frosty in our lives and he will remain in our hearts forever. He is survived by the love of his life, Peggy. They were married 71 years. He is also survived by three children, Nell (Jim) Sugg of Tucson, AZ, Chuck Honaker of Othello, WA and Donna Richards (Jerry Monroe) of Cashmere, WA. He is survived by six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; his sister, Eleanor Irish of Oak Harbor, WA; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Edna Slatten; and his brother, Russell. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 13, 2007, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 625 S. Elliott, Wenatchee. Those who wish, may make memorial donations to a charity of their choice. Jones & Jones ~ Betts Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements. spouse's obituary - Wenatchee World - June 7, 2013 Agnes “Peggy” Honaker celebrated her 100th birthday, surrounded by her family, just weeks ago. Our mother went to sleep and God took her gently to Heaven August 13, 2011. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Frosty. They were married 71 years. Peggy was born on a homestead in Colgan, ND and grew up in Belt, MT. After high school, she worked her way through college in Dillon, MT. She taught school for four years. Peggy and Frosty were married in 1936 and they had three children. The family moved to Wenatchee in 1953. Her life was full with family, work, church, lots of Bridge, golf, dancing and travel. Everyone loved the special cakes she made at Apple Blossom time. She was devoted to her family and delighted in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the heart and soul of our family and was greatly loved and admired. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Frosty; her parents, Dan and Ora Colgan; sisters, Mildred and Marie; and brothers, Francis, Robert and Donald. She is survived by her daughter, Nell (Jim) Sugg; son, Chuck Honaker; daughter, Donna Richards (Jerry Monroe); six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 19, 2011, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 625 S. Elliott, Wenatchee.
