He received the Korean Service Medal, UN Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. On June 6, 1956 he was united in marriage to Ramona Buccholz at Pawnee City, NE. He is survived by his wife, Ramona; two daughters, Sue Ann and husband, Rick Sedersten of Nebraska City, and Shiela and her husband, Randy Wezl of Elk Creek, NE. two sons, Ralph and wife, Penny of Humboldt and Steven and wife, Sharon of Centralia, KS. ten grandchildren and one great granddaughter, his mother, Nellie Johnson at Good Samaritan Center in Auburn, NE. 2 sisters, Mrs. Butch (Helen) Schultz of Humboldt, NE. and Mrs. Hank (Joan) Sullwold of Stella, NE. one brother, Richard and wife Darlen (Grove)of Tecumseh, NE. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph W. Johnson and one grandson, John Johnson. Funeral services were held Jan. 29 at Wherry Brothers Mortuary in Pawnee City, NE. Graveside services were conducted by the Co. B. National Guard Rifle Salute of Falls City, NE. Pallbearers were the Cerimonial Honor Guard of Falls City, NE.
