Description	:	Funeral services for Ralph L. Trom, 92, Alexandria, Minn., were held on Monday, April 8, 2002 at Kindred Lutheran Church, Kindred. Reverend Brian Wasmoen officiated. Mr. Trom died on Thursday, April 4, 2002 at Clearwater Suites, Alexandria. Ralph L. Trom, son of Olaf K. and Janna Olava (Johnson) Trom, was born on January 7, 1910 in Kindred. Mr. Trom died on Thursday, April 4, 2002 at Clearwater Suites, Alexandria. Ralph L. Trom, son of Olaf K. and Janna Olava (Johnson) Trom, was born on January 7, 1910 in Kindred. He grew up and attended school in Kindred and Wahpeton. In 1938, he married Thelma Johnson in Atwater, Minn., and they had one child together. He began his long career at Kindred State Bank as a custodian in 1930 and retired as president 61 years later. Throughout his years in Kindred, Ralph was active in civic, church and school activities. He held numerous positions in various organizations in town, church and school, as well as county and state organizations. In 1992, Ralph and Thelma moved to Fargo as residents of Riverview Place, where Thelma died in 1995. In 2001, Ralph moved to Alexandria, Minn. He is survived by one daughter, Janna (Jeff) Lindoo, Alexandria, Minn.; four sisters-in-law, Clara (Rueben) Trom, Ventura, Calif., Eileen (Ordner) Trom, Grand Junction, Colo., Hazel (Irvin) Trom, Bismarck, and Thelma (Alfred) Trom, Lisbon; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Thelma Trom; and brothers and sisters, Clara Trom Haldi, Ordner Trom, Sophus Trom, Carl Trom, Luella Trom Roden, Alfred Trom, Ruth Trom Wilkison Deal, Irvin Trom, Rueben Trom and Donald Trom.
