Read More	Mike Duvall Gaffney, SC - - Ralph Mitchell “Mike” Duvall, 68, of 2089½ Pacolet Highway, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at his residence. Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Pam Harris Duvall, son of the late Horace (Dick) Junior Duvall and Dorothy Blanton Duvall Reavis, and stepson of Gene Reavis of Gaffney. He was a graduate of Gaffney High School where he was a member of the football team, attended Gardner Webb University and was a retired race car driver after 43 years in racing. Mike won 1043 races and was inducted into the following Halls of Fame: Cherokee Speedway Hall of Fame, Charlotte Motor Speedway Walk of Fame, National Dirt Racing Hall of Fame, Carolina Clash Hall of Fame, and Legends of Auto Racing Hall of Fame. He won the prestigious World 100 race in 1982, was the Lunati Triple Crown Winner, and the 1982 NDRA Champion. He was a member of Silica Springs Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Ralph Mitchell Duvall II and wife, Tanya, of Gaffney, Chad Driskill and wife, Renee, of Gaffney and Jonathon Duvall and girlfriend, Kelseay, of Boiling Springs, SC; two daughters, Amber Duvall Hamrick and husband, Tony, of Blacksburg and Bonnie Alexis Duvall of the home; seven grandchildren, Dillon Duvall and wife, Logan Lydia, Tyler Driskill, Amy Duvall, Madeline Duvall, Chelsea Ellis and husband, Kamran, Devin Hamrick and wife, Jordan, and Ethan Hamrick; four great-grandchildren, Viviana Duvall, Rhylan Ellis, Rowan Ellis and Madison Hamrick; and a special little girl Jacey Gillespie of Gaffney. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Silica Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Lynn Ford, Pastor Billy Elder and Rev. Will Vergara officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be: T. J. Parris, Duane Goins, Buggy Neal, Kenny Mullinax, Pat Parrish, Rev. Bryon Inman, Josh Driskill and Mike Measamer. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Peewee White, J. D. Brown, John Patty, W. B. Cook, Monk Martin and Race Car Drivers and Colleagues. The family will be at the residence, 2089½ Pacolet Highway, Gaffney.
