He was the youngest of 7 children born to Louis & Mary Fusaro on October 4, 1926 in Gridley, CA. Ralph was raised and attended school in Colusa graduating in 1945. He and his twin brother Carmon served in the Navy as the ship's cooks on the U.S.S. Terror for two years. Fusaro 83, of Colusa, CA passed away August 3, 2010 at Valley West Care Center in Williams. He was the youngest of 7 children born to Louis & Mary Fusaro on October 4, 1926 in Gridley, CA. Ralph was raised and attended school in Colusa graduating in 1945. He and his twin brother Carmon served in the Navy as the ship's cooks on the U.S.S. Terror for two years. When they were released from the service they worked as carpenters and played semi-pro baseball in the Sacramento Valley League as had their brothers Ned and Dom before them. Ralph and Carmon were inducted into the Valley League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1996. When they were playing Valley League baseball they were known as "Pete" and "Repeat." In 1954 Carmon & Ralph opened the Colusa Bakery. He married Gerda Lundberg in 1954 and they had two daughters, Nancy and Susan. The family moved to South San Francisco where Ralph worked in construction for such places as the Cow Palace and the Golden Gate Bridge. They divorced in 1965. In 1967, he married Bobbie Heacock. Ralph was the job superintendent for Royal Inns and he & Bobbie traveled all over the United States for several years building hotels. They moved to Alaska in 1974 where they started Fusaro Construction. After the Alaska Pipeline was finished and the oil industry declined they left Alaska and moved back to the Grimes area in 1987. Ralph worked for Sunseri Construction until 2003 as job superintendent at the Sacramento Medical Foundation Blood Center until he retired and moved back to Colusa in 2004. Over their 41 years of marriage, Ralph and Bobbie made countless friends across the country while traveling. They especially enjoyed the outdoor life hunting and fishing together. Ralph was preceded in death by his beloved Bobbie in 2009 as well as his parents, sister, and 4 brothers. He leaves behind his twin brother Carmon (Carol) Fusaro of Redmond, Oregon; daughters Nancy (Don) Fetters of Ft. Lupton, Colorado and Susan (Mike) Fetters of Brighton, Colorado; step-sons Bill (Sally) Williams of Reno, NV, and Vernon (Sharon) Williams of Maple Grove, Minnesota as well as eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. There will be a Celebration of his life Memorial Service at St. Bernadette's Hall, 745 Ware Avenue, Colusa, on Saturday, August 21, 2010 beginning at 11 am followed by a lunch reception.
