"Sonny" Taylor was born March 3, 1917 in O'Neill, Nebraska, the son of Ralph R. and Rosa Taylor. Ralph Taylor departed this life February 11, 1985 at Melissa Memorial Hospital in Holyoke. Sonny went to school in the O'Neill and Gordon, Nebraska area. Sonny as he was known started in the bakery business in 1945 at Gordon, Nebraska, moving to Scottsbluff, Nebraska and Fleming before residing in Holyoke in 1960 until his death. Sonny went to school in the O'Neill and Gordon, Nebraska area. Sonny as he was known started in the bakery business in 1945 at Gordon, Nebraska, moving to Scottsbluff, Nebraska and Fleming before residing in Holyoke in 1960 until his death. He was married on March 18, 1973 to Mary Stone. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking and never met a stranger. Sonny is survived by his mother Rose McCauley of Alliance, Nebraska; his wife Mary of Holyoke; his children, Sina Craig of Gillette, Wyoming; Terry Taylor of Raton, New Mexico; Dianna Hardy of Grand Junction; Mike Hardy, Arlene Cassavant, Sunni Raines, John Taylor and Ben Taylor, all of Loveland; Stan Stone of Haxtun; and David Taylor of Holyoke. Sonny had two brothers, Jim Taylor of Gordon, Nebraska and Wayne Taylor of Alliance, Nebraska and three sisters Arlene Kastnen of Wolf Point, Montana; Ione McDonald of Brighton; and Margaret Greig of Geona, Nebraska; 11 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. Services were held February 14, 1985 at the Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Ron Williams officiating. Interment was at Holyoke Memorial Park.
