Description	:	LIFE STORY of RALPH ASHWILL, 70 Ralph Raymond Ashwill was born June 17, 1892 at Pomona, Kansas, the son of Fannie and Nelson Ashwill. He died suddenly Wednesday, October 10, 1962 at Bishop Clarkson Hospital in Omaha at the age of 70 years, 3 months and 23 days. His childhood was spent in the Ottawa, Kansas vicinity. Read More	LIFE STORY of RALPH ASHWILL, 70 Ralph Raymond Ashwill was born June 17, 1892 at Pomona, Kansas, the son of Fannie and Nelson Ashwill. He died suddenly Wednesday, October 10, 1962 at Bishop Clarkson Hospital in Omaha at the age of 70 years, 3 months and 23 days. His childhood was spent in the Ottawa, Kansas vicinity. February 16, 1915 he married Mae Perfect. To this union 3 children were born. They are Mrs. Robert (Edna Mae) Bowles of Persia, Iowa; Rex of Denver, Colorado; and a daughter who died at birth. They later moved to Harlan where Mr. Ashwill opened a barber shop. He barbered in Harlan for over 35 years and just recently sold his business and was semi-retired. Ralph was a member of the Christian Church for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Ortho, Ely and Charley, and his infant daughter. In addition to his wife, Mae and his children he is survived by 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 5 brothers, Herbert, Nelson, Thad, Earl and Vint; a sister, Leona and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held from the Pauley Funeral Home Friday, October 12, with Pastor Norman Armstrong officiating. Burial was in the Harlan cemetery. Pallbearers were Max Friend, Al Krogstad, Stanley Jones, Al Goodmanson, Elmer G. Larsen, Richard E. Jensen and Robert Christensen. From The Harlan Tribune (Harlan, Iowa) - Thursday 18 Oct 1962
