Maryland State Police identified the victim as Ralph Richard (Ike) Guy, 50, of 120 Church Street, Westernport, and his wife, Mrs. Mary Frances "Franchel" (Welsh) Guy, 49. The bodies are at the Fredlock Funeral Home, Piedmont, where friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Authorities said the couple was found in their home. Mrs. Guy had been shot four times in the back and twice in the thigh. Mr. Guy was shot once in the mouth. Was In Japanese War Prison Police said Mr. Guy apparently shot his wife with a .30 calibre rifle and then placed the weapon in his mouth and discharge it. Mr. Guy, who was a prisoner of the Japanese for 39 months during World War II, was recently under a physician's care and was treated for a nervous condition in Richmond and Baltimore hospital, according to authorities. Mr. Guy enlisted in the Air Force in 1939 and served as a bombardier. From 1941 until 1944 his family received no word from him. In 1944 the family was notified that he was a prisoner of war. Was Clerk A native of Westernport, he was a son of the late John T. and Ethel (Biggs) Guy. He was a graduate of Bruce High School and was a member of Kelly-Mansfield Post 52, American Legion of Piedmont. Mr. Guy was employed as a clerk by the James A. Welsh & Sons, Westernport. Survivors include a daughter, Ethel Ann guy, a student at Juniata College, Huntingdon, Pa.; two brothers, Frederick I. Guy, Sewickley, Pa.; and Francis Guy, Hagerstown; and three sisters, Mrs. Edith Rowan, Piedmont; Mrs. Eleanor Drane, Fairmont, and Mrs. Irene Wagoner, Romney, W. Va. Native of Westernport Mrs. Guy was born in Westernport, a daughter of James A. and Nora (Ryan) Welsh, Jr., of Westernport. She was a graduate of St. Peter's High School of Westernport and attended Seton Hill College, Greensburg, Pa. Mrs. Guy was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and the St. Peter's Alumni Association. Besides her daughter, she is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Louis Fatkin and Mrs. John Stakem, both of Westernport, and three brothers, James A., Paul J., and Charles C. Welsh, all of Westernport.
