Description	:	Ralph Robson, age 87, of Madison, died Monday, July 1, 2013, at his residence under the care of Madison Hospice. Ralph was born April 3, 1926, at Orland, SD, to Ernest and Josephine (Loeck) Robson. He graduated from Orland High School in 1944 and worked for Pitts Salvage in Sioux Falls. He married Inez Hof on September 7, 1950, at Luverne, MN. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1950 - 1952, stationed at Okinawa. Read More	Ralph Robson, age 87, of Madison, died Monday, July 1, 2013, at his residence under the care of Madison Hospice. Ralph was born April 3, 1926, at Orland, SD, to Ernest and Josephine (Loeck) Robson. He graduated from Orland High School in 1944 and worked for Pitts Salvage in Sioux Falls. He married Inez Hof on September 7, 1950, at Luverne, MN. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1950 - 1952, stationed at Okinawa. He then worked for Domestic Seed Company until 1976 when his leg was amputated. Ralph was called as Clerk for the Madison Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in 1976. He was also called as Sioux Falls District Clerk and later as State Clerk. Ralph taught clerks at a regional conference in Fargo, ND in 1979 and was called to serve on the Clerks Task Force at the church headquarters in Salt Lake City, UT for two years. After that he served as Branch President until 2000. Ralph served on the Lake County Weed Board, was an active member of the Odd Fellows, a member of the American Legion, VFW and Rebekah Lodge. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, his wife in 2003, three brothers Earl, Larry and Lloyd Robson and two sisters Dorothy Gere and Violet King. Survivors include one son Michael of Madison; three daughters, Suzanne "Sue" Robson of Madison, Salley (Dan) Stanton of Watertown and Pat (Darris) Nelson of Madison; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and two sisters, Ruth Ann Lone of Sioux Falls and Elsie Wiese of Madison. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM, Sat., July 6th at Ellsworth Funeral Home with burial at Graceland Cemetery and Military Honors by Madison American Legion and VFW. Visitation begins noon Friday with the family present 6-8 PM at Ellsworth Funeral Home and continues one hour prior to the service.
