Ralph was born Sept. 30, 1929, to Ralph L. and Ferne (Ross) in Delta, Colo. He spent his childhood in Olathe and graduated from Olathe High School. Ralph went on to college at Western State College in Gunnison, Colo., with an accounting degree. Read More	RALPH ROSS FOSTER Sept. 30, 1929 ~ May 4, 2015 Published Saturday, May 9, 2015 Montrose Daily Press: Ralph Ross Foster, 85, of Montrose, passed away on May 4, 2015, at his home. Ralph was born Sept. 30, 1929, to Ralph L. and Ferne (Ross) in Delta, Colo. He spent his childhood in Olathe and graduated from Olathe High School. Ralph went on to college at Western State College in Gunnison, Colo., with an accounting degree. He married Maria Whelmine Schmidt on Nov. 20, 1954, in Darmsdadt, Germany, while serving his country in the United States Air Force. After his honorable discharge Ralph returned to Montrose, where he and Maria made their home until their time of death. Maria preceded him in death on Dec. 11, 2006, in Montrose. Surviving family members include his sons, Ralph L. (Johnene) Foster III, of Olathe, Colo., John A. (Wendy) Foster, of Montrose, Pete G. Foster, of Montrose, and Michael Foster, of Montrose; daughters, Laura (Gary) Gleason, of Olathe, and Elizabeth Foster of Montrose; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Betty Bush. A funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, May 10, at 10 a.m. at Crippin funeral Home Chapel. The service will conclude at the Chapel. A private burial will take place at the Olathe Cemetery, in Olathe Colo. Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory, Montrose, is assisting the family.
