Following graduation from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, Ralph served two years in the U.S. Army and then returned to North Carolina to begin his career in the furniture industry. Ralph was an elder in the Presbyterian Church, serving at First Presbyterian Church of Galax and later at Catonsville Presbyterian Church. His immediate family members remaining are his wife of 40 years, Norma Alderman Busic; daughters, Danise Busic of Alexandria, Va., and Hollace Busic Evans of Raleigh, N.C.; granddaughter, Eliza Victoria Evans of Raleigh, N.C.; sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Lane Whitley of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Galax, Va., and an uncle and aunt, Walton and Irene Leftwich of Akron, Ohio. Services will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Galax at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 19. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated to the American Lung Association of Maryland, 1840 York Road, Suite M, Timonium, Md. 21093-5156, or the Building Fund of First Presbyterian Church of Galax.
