Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM, Monday, June 5, 2006 at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Yankton, with Rev. Ken Bain and Rev. Tim Lange officiating. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Yankton, SD. Pallbearers will be Ron Suing, Allen Bonertz, Chuck Bonertz, Roger Bonertz, Jerome Thoene, Jim Kohles, Francis Maly, and Steve Keiser. He was united in marriage to Laurentia B. Keiser on June 10, 1953 in Yankton, SD. For 20 years, Pete worked in the trucking industry and then at Mount Marty College for 25 years. He loved hunting, baseball, working outdoors, laughing, and spending time with his family and friends. Pete was known for his sense of humor. His memory will be cherished by his wife, Laurentia B. (Keiser) Bonertz of Yankton, SD; sons: Terry (Karen) Bonertz of Minneapolis, MN, Keith Bonertz of Spokane, WA, Kevin (Jessica) Bonertz of Salt Lake City, UT, Dale (Cecilia) Bonertz of Fort Collins, CO: daughters: Pamela (Mark) Sechser of Harrisburg, SD, Beverly (Larry) Wieseler of Yankton, SD; Lynae Bonertz of Lincoln, NE and Diane Bonertz of Sioux Falls, SD; 17 grandchildren and two step-grandchildren; sisters: Aurelia Huber of Rapid City, SD, and Viola (Jerome) Suing of Hartington, NE; three sisters-in-law: Sister Elmera Keiser of Yankton, SD, Lugardis Bonertz of York, NE, Katie Keiser of Fordyce, NE, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Henry and Frances, brothers and sisters: Rose (Ed) Thoene, Bruno "Short" (Irma) Bonertz, Rynard John Bonertz, Linus "Slim" Bonertz, Ervin "Dick" Bonertz, Ted (Cordula) Bonertz and Bill (Bernadette) Bonertz.
