Description : Ralph Turney

Ralph Turney, long-time Galveston resident and self-appointed Mayor of Teichman Road, died Thursday, April 5, 2007. He was 89.

Ralph and his wife Faye owned and operated Ralph’s Fishing Camp for many years. He was also the captain of “Lori T,” a 36-foot ferro cement shrimp boat that he built. He received national publicity when the boat was launched in 1971.

Ralph is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Jerry Lambert of Hurst; three grandchildren, Jordan, Chip, and Leah Faye Lambert; a sister, Emma Lee Turney of Houston; special nephew and namesake, Donald Ralph Turney of Florida; and other... Read More
