He was born March 31, 1940, in Vance County and was the son of the late Marvin Green Breedlove Sr. and Daisy Lowry Breedlove. Read More	Ralph Wayne Breedlove, 80, of Old Greenwich, CT, died Sunday, January 31, 2021, surrounded by family at Stamford Hospital in Stamford, CT. He was born March 31, 1940, in Vance County and was the son of the late Marvin Green Breedlove Sr. and Daisy Lowry Breedlove. Mr. Breedlove spent his entire career serving the Henderson community and retired as Police Lieutenant of the Henderson Police Department. When he wasn’t in uniform, he was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting and fishing. Above all, spending time with his family meant the most to him. He is survived by one (very dedicated) daughter, Julie Breedlove Kelly; his two grandchildren, Colin and Jennifer Kelly of Old Greenwich, CT, and one sister, Rachel B. Thompson of Charlotte, NC, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one sister, Peggy B. Dickerson, and four brothers, Marvin G. Breedlove Jr., Glenn Breedlove, Ernest Breedlove, and Thomas Breedlove. Ralph knew no strangers in life and went out of his way to help others. While North Carolina was always known as home to him, he frequently visited Connecticut and spent much time with his daughter, Julie, and grandchildren, Jennifer (“Jen Jen”) and Colin before moving to Connecticut in 2017. For those that knew him, it was known that his greatest joys in life came from sharing many laughs with those he loved most. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Henderson-Vance Crime Stoppers at 901 Dorsey Ave., Henderson, NC 27536. Mr. Breedlove will be laid to rest beside his late wife Judy B. Breedlove in Sunset Gardens. The private graveside ceremony will be conducted by the Rev. Frank Sossamon and will be held for family only due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Ralph’s family wishes to give a special thank you to Gary (Bud’s good friend) and the caregivers at Fairfield Family Care for all of their love and support over the past few years.
