Description	:	Rama Anna Collins, age 96, died Sunday, March 13, 1994 at the Ottawa County Hospital. She was born July 8, 1897 at Aurora to, Samuel and Amanda Beauregard Slater. She attended grade school at St. Joe and Enterprise. On September 8, 1914, she married Louis Collins at Aurora. They lived on a farm near Aurora until they moved to Aurora in 1950 to operate a cafe. After her husband died in November of 1957, she moved to Concordia to operate the canteen at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was born July 8, 1897 at Aurora to, Samuel and Amanda Beauregard Slater. She attended grade school at St. Joe and Enterprise. On September 8, 1914, she married Louis Collins at Aurora. They lived on a farm near Aurora until they moved to Aurora in 1950 to operate a cafe. After her husband died in November of 1957, she moved to Concordia to operate the canteen at St. Joseph's Hospital. In the early 1960's she moved to the Minneapolis area where she spent the remainder of her life. Rama was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Altar Society and the VFW Auxiliary, all of Minneapolis. Survivors include a daughter, Betty Gawith and her husband Leroy of Minneapolis; a son Elmer Collins and his wife Marcelle of Concordia; nine grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Louis, a daughter Lucille Hazlett, four brothers and one grandchild. Rosary service was held Tuesday, March 15, at Shields Funeral Home. A funeral mass was held Wednesday, March 16, 1994 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. James Hake officiating. Vocalist was Kenneth Gawith and Harriet Pieschl was the organist. Casket bearers were Jim Gawith, Jack Hazlett, Gerald Collins, Curtis Crosson, Harry Gantenbein, Daniel Collins and Donald Collins. Interment was in St. Peter's Cemetery, Aurora. The family suggests memorials to the Immaculate Conception Church, Minneapolis.
