(Wolfert) Jurzenski. Randy is survived by: daughters and son-in-law, Angela Jurzenski of Vernon Hills, Illinois and Jessica and Geoff Putney of Lincoln, Nebraska; aunt and uncle, Susie Wolfert and Nick Pedersen of St. Paul, Nebraska and a host of family and friends. Jurzenski, of Elba, Nebraska died Sunday, February 16, 2014, at his home. Randy was born on June 13, 1957, at Grand Island, Nebraska the son of Lavern L. and Doris M. (Wolfert) Jurzenski. Randy is survived by: daughters and son-in-law, Angela Jurzenski of Vernon Hills, Illinois and Jessica and Geoff Putney of Lincoln, Nebraska; aunt and uncle, Susie Wolfert and Nick Pedersen of St. Paul, Nebraska and a host of family and friends. Randy grew up near St. Paul, Nebraska later moving with his family to a farm near Farwell, Nebraska where he attended elementary school. The family later lived in the communities of Elba and Cotesfield, Nebraska where he graduated from Elba (NE.) High School in 1975. During high school he worked for Charlie Tuma and Alfred Novotny. Randy was united in marriage to Anita M. Schipman on August 7, 1976, at Zion Lutheran Church, Worms, Nebraska. The couple lived in the Grand Island, Neebraska area until moving to Elba, Nebraska in 1982. Randy lived in Elba, Nebraska the rest of his life. Over the years he worked at Overhead Door and New Holland in Grand Island, Nebraska; owned and operated Jurzenski's Bar, Elba, Nebraska, which later added a repair shop; worked in sales for KAR Products, elevator manager of the Elba (NE.) Co-Op and as a heavy equipment operator for the local landfill and Tri-County Sand & Gravel of Elba, Nebraska. Randy was baptized in the catholic faith, served on the Elba (NE.) School board and was an active member of the Elba (NE.) Fire Department and EMT's, of which he was a former captain. Randy enjoyed repairing cars and equipment and helping people with anything. He also enjoyed socializing and listening to polka music in his garage on Sundays. He loved John Wayne movies and driving in demolition derbies. Randy was preceded in death by: parents and brother, Ronald Jurzenski. Memorial services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Elba, Nebraska. The Rev. Ray Kosmicki as officiator. Family inurnment was in the Elmwood Cemetery, St. Paul, Nebraska.
