Description	:	Ransom Brisette Hall was born in Freeman County Minnesota on May 11, 1866 and passed away at the Tilden, Nebraska Hospital October 7,1914 The Hall family migrated to Spink County South Dakota when Ransom was a child. Ransom graduated from Redfield College in the class of 1895. He took theological work at Hartford Seminary, finishing a three-year course in 1898 and was ordained a minister of the Congregational Church at Redfield, South Dakota on December 1, 1898 Ransom married Alice Hardie at her home in Melletee, South Dakota on June 26,1890, He took small churches at Gettysburg, S.D., DeSmet... Ransom graduated from Redfield College in the class of 1895. He took theological work at Hartford Seminary, finishing a three-year course in 1898 and was ordained a minister of the Congregational Church at Redfield, South Dakota on December 1, 1898 Ransom married Alice Hardie at her home in Melletee, South Dakota on June 26,1890, He took small churches at Gettysburg, S.D., DeSmet S.D., Hiteman Iowa and Prairie City Iowa. For nearly five years , he owned the Harlan,Iowa newspaper. He moved to Neligh Nebraska on January 1, 1912 working for the Nebraska Children's Home Society placing children in foster homes, He became a candidate for sheriff of Antelope County this spring. While at work in the country near Lynch last November, an attack of grippe was endured. This left him in a weakened condition. On the evening of September 26, he took the train at Rushville to return home, During the ride, his fatal illness took possession of his system. He passed away Saturday October 7th. His wife was with him during his illness, and helped keep up the courage. They have three children, Richard Lloyd, Dorothy Zadah, and Phillips Stanley.fourth child Ralph Richard,died two years ago at two years of age . He also leaves his brother Stanley Hall of Redfield, SD., a sister Florence Hall Bickford of Seattle Washington. The funeral was held from the Congregational Church of Neligh Tuesday 10th.Rev. Brown offered prayer and appreciations of his life were given by by Rev. Rose and Rev. Kelts, his pastor. Those attending from out of town included his only brother, A. Stanley Hall of Redfield S.D, Mrs Mable Hardie LaBay of Brentford,SD and Mrs Minnie Gilbert a representative from the Nebraska Children's home Society.The internment was in the Neligh Cemetery
