Description	:	Ranson was the son of Ira Caswell and Syrene Adams. His mother died when he was about 3 years old and he was raised by Ira's 2nd wife, Mercy Gates. He married Mary E. Cole, daughter of Stephen Cole and Polly M. Pike. They were married around 1858. In May 1860 they had one daughter, Lula (sometimes called Letey). Read More	Ranson was the son of Ira Caswell and Syrene Adams. His mother died when he was about 3 years old and he was raised by Ira's 2nd wife, Mercy Gates. He married Mary E. Cole, daughter of Stephen Cole and Polly M. Pike. They were married around 1858. In May 1860 they had one daughter, Lula (sometimes called Letey). Note: The stone is broken and in very poor condition but he died between 1861 and 1869. Ranson and Mary both died before 1870. Lula was taken in by Nehemiah and Mary (Boyce) Cole before the 1870 census. Nehemiah was a cousin of Mary (Cole) Caswell. By 1880 they had adopted his nephew Eldon Maguire, because they had no children. Lula was raised with Eldon until her marriage in 1881. She even named her son Eldon.
