Barnes, Elmer Boyd and E. G. Noe. Interment was in the Chelan cemetery. Rasmus Larsen was born in Denmark on December 22, 1853 and died at his home in Chelan October 3, 1927. He came to America in 1874 and lived at first with a colony of Danish people in Michigan, but among them he did not find the opportunity for learning the English language as he wished, so he came west and located near Heppner, Ore. About thirty-five years ago he homesteaded in the Boyd District in this country. On December 5, 1911 he was married to Miss Hattie Sater, who survives him. About that time they left the ranch and have lived in Chelan ever since. His only sister passed away in Denmark a few weeks ago and the word reached Mr. Larsen during his own final illness. He was confirmed in the Lutheran Church in boyhood and was a member of the I.O.O.F. and Rebekah Lodges. Mr. Larsen was quiet, modest and unassurning, known among his neighbors as being upright and honest, spoken of by one who has known him for many years as "A Christian gentlemen, one of God's noble men."
