Mr. Miller was born Sept. 23, 1910, at Lemmon, SD, the son of Henry and Alpha (Fenske) Miller. He grew up and graduated from high school at Mobridge, S.D. Miller, 92, Valley City, N.D., died Sunday, April 13, 2003, at Sheyenne Care Center, Valley City. Mr. Miller was born Sept. 23, 1910, at Lemmon, SD, the son of Henry and Alpha (Fenske) Miller. He grew up and graduated from high school at Mobridge, S.D. He then attended Dunwoody Institute, Minneapolis, Minn., and college at Vermillion, S.D. He started working for the National Tea Co., Mobridge and later Bismarck, N.D. He started as a stock boy and worked his way to manager. He married Dorothy Fallgatter on June 18, 1939, at Kintyre, N.D. They moved to Minot, N.D., where he managed Missouri Valley Motors and later Capitol Motors. In 1957 they moved to Valley City, N.D. where he was involved with the Duffy Motors auto dealership, later named Miller Motors. She died in 1994. He recently entered Sheyenne Care Center, Valley City. He was a member of the Elks, Eagles, lions, Knights of Pythias, Masonic Lodge (32ne degree), and El Zagel Shrine. He served on the board of directors of Sheyenne Care Center, North Dakota Winter Show and First National Bank. He as a past president of the North Dakota Automobile Dealers Association and an honorary member of the Valley City State University Hall of Fame. He was active in the Episcopal Church, serving as senior warden of the local Episcopal Church, on the diocesan level on the Diocesan Council and Discesan Finance Committee. He is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Evans, Bismarck; two sons, Bob (Liana), Jamestown, and Don (Cory) Gering, Neb; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, two brothers; and a son-in-law, Dave Evans. Services: 2 p.m. Thursday, Epworth United Methodist Church, Valley City, with the Revs. Charles Henley, Steve C. Johnson and Tom Peterson officiating. Visitation: 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, Peterson-Johnson-Schuldt Funeral Home, Valley City, and one hour before the service at the church. Burial: Woodbine Cemetery, Valley City.
