Description	:	Raymond Donald Paradis, 80, of 306 South Lakeview Drive was the husband of Myrtle Padgett Paradis of 61 years and was the son of the late Lionel King and Tina Paradis King. He was a native of Waterville, Maine and former member of Startex Wesleyan Church, and attended Potters House Church before his years of declining health. He was retired from Griffin Gear, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in Saudi Arabia, and a member of N.R.A. He was an excellent carpenter and took pride in his work. Read More	Raymond Donald Paradis, 80, of 306 South Lakeview Drive was the husband of Myrtle Padgett Paradis of 61 years and was the son of the late Lionel King and Tina Paradis King. He was a native of Waterville, Maine and former member of Startex Wesleyan Church, and attended Potters House Church before his years of declining health. He was retired from Griffin Gear, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in Saudi Arabia, and a member of N.R.A. He was an excellent carpenter and took pride in his work. He loved the mountains, camping, and working in his little saw sharpening shop. Survivors also include three daughters, Jane Haskell and husband David of Greer, Tina Paradis and Kim Ficklin both of Spartanburg, two grandchildren, Amanda Haskell and Kyle Ficklin; three great-grandchildren, Jordan, Greyson and Maci Ray. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday at the Stribling Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Padgett and Rev. Jose Ortiz officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 PM prior to the service. The interment will be at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303 or to Potters House Christian Ministries, 363 Oak Grove Road, Spartanburg, SC 29301.
