Pallbearers were William Bramley, David Harris, Bill Metcalfe, Robert Ortberg, Larry Slick and Bob Spence. Mr. Ham had been ill the past year and was taken to the Delaware County Memorial Hospital on Tuesday afternoon, April 27. Raymond Edward Ham, son of Herbert E. and Elizabeth Ann Koehne Ham, was born at Earlville October 15, 1906. He graduated from the Earlville High School with the class of 1926. He was united in marriage with Letha Fangman at the Little Brown church at Nashua on Oct. 24, 1937, and all their married life had been spent in the Earlville vicinity. The were engaged in farming on the Ham farm south of Earlville for a number of years before moving into the town of Earlville. Ray served as town councilman of Earlville for six years, was a substitute Rural Mail Carrier, a director of the Earlville Fairview Cemetery Association, was a member of the local Methodist church all his life - having served as usher of the church for 33 consecutive years and at the time of his passing he was serving as chairman for the Board of Directors of the church. He was a member of the Square Lodge No. 286 of Earlville, Knight Templar of Manchester, was a 32nd degree Mason of the Consistory, Worthy Patron of Acacia Chapter No. 140 O.E.S. Earlville and a Past Watchman of the White Shrine in Dubuque. He is survived by his widow, Letha of Earlville, and one sister, Mrs. Charles (Berniece) Schwartz of Manchester and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Mrs. Mabel Meister. The Jephthah White Shrine held Memorial Services at the Clifton Funeral Home Thursday evening and the Masonic Lodge conducted their Memorial Services at the funeral home on Friday evening.
