Ray was born at home in Moccasin, Mont., on July 19, 1923. He was the sixth of 10 children born to Ben and Elsie (Holcomb) Krumheuer. Dad was a WWII veteran who served in Italy. Upon his return from the war, he married Rose C. Schaff, on Feb. 6, 1948. Ray and Rose raised four children. Ray was born at home in Moccasin, Mont., on July 19, 1923. He was the sixth of 10 children born to Ben and Elsie (Holcomb) Krumheuer. Dad was a WWII veteran who served in Italy. Upon his return from the war, he married Rose C. Schaff, on Feb. 6, 1948. Ray and Rose raised four children. They lived in many places, finally settling on the Huntley Project in 1959 where he worked at the Huntley Experiment Station. Dad retired in 1985 and he and Mom lived in Ballantine until 2011. They then moved to Eagle Cliff Manor in Billings. Ray is survived by his wife of 65 years, Rose; his only living sibling, Shirley Herrin of Las Vegas; his children and grandchildren, Gordon (Judy) and their daughter, Shaundel of Billings; Donna (Glen) Teeters of Alberton, Mont., and their children, Amber and Mark (Julia); Gary of St. Maries, Idaho, and Gail (Toby) Lofing of Gillette, Wyo., and children, Brandon (Kandi), Turner, and Conner. Many beloved extended family members also survive Ray. Ray was preceded in death by his parents and eight of his siblings, as well as an infant granddaughter, Kallie. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will take place in the spring. Dad was always the life of the party and his sense of humor will be greatly missed. To quote Dad, "Where the hell are we?"
