Mr. Fisher was born on February 21, 1926 and was a son of the late Frank Harrison and Stella Gertrude F. Fisher. Mr. Fisher was preceded in death by two sons, Sherman Fisher, Melvin Fisher; four brothers, Kenneth (Pat) Fisher, Haven Fisher and Estle Fisher, Frank (June) H. Hale of Narrows, W.Va., Angie Fisher of Pearisburg; one son, Raymond G. Fisher, Jr.; three brothers, Lewis W. (Sonny) Fisher of Virginia Beach, Va., Herman J. Fisher of Narrows, Va., Basil E. Fisher of New Orleans, La.; ten grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren; and two stepsons, Danny Williams of Pembroke, Dwane Williams of Pembroke; two stepgrandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, December 27, 2002 at 2 p.m. at the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg with the Rev. Shahn Wilburn officiating with burial following in the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the Givens Funeral Home in Pearisburg Thursday evening from 6 to 9 p.m.
