Hahn was born on July 25, 1928 in Sarben, Nebraska to John and Louise (Tenikstein) Hahn. He grew up in Elm Creek and graduated from Elm Creek High School with the class of 1947. Read More	Raymond J. Hahn, 90, of Elm Creek, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at CHI Health-Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Raymond J. Hahn was born on July 25, 1928 in Sarben, Nebraska to John and Louise (Tenikstein) Hahn. He grew up in Elm Creek and graduated from Elm Creek High School with the class of 1947. He lived in Elm Creek all his life and worked for Holdrege Coop Association as a branch manager for 33 years until his retirement in 1991. He was united in marriage to Lois V. Beavers on June 18, 1950 in Elm Creek, and to this union three children were born: John, Peggy and Deborah. On January 2, 1952 Raymond enlisted in the United States Army. He proudly served his country in the Korean War and was honorably discharged on December 18, 1953. Ray served on the Elm Creek Village Board for 16 years and was a 20-year member of the Elm Creek Fire and Rescue Department. Ray also was a member of the First Christian Church in Elm Creek, the Holdrege Elk’s Club, American Legion Post #316 and the Eagle’s Club. His hobbies included traveling, dancing, playing cards and visiting with friends. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Peggy Robinson and her husband, Mike of Elm Creek; son, John R. Hahn and his wife, Kathy of Elm Creek; grandchildren, Aaron (Heather) Tomcak of Crested Butte, CO, Melissa (Ryan) Knapp of Elm Creek, Tiffany (Andy) Wernke of Kearney, Brooke (Eric) Moats of Kearney, Kaili (Austin) Larson of Kearney, Derek (Jasmine) Hahn of North Platte, Sadie Hahn of Elburn, IL; 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
