Raymond died Monday, December 16, 2013, at Community Pride Care Center, Battle Creek, Nebraska. Raymond attended East Emerick School near the family home in Madison County, Nebraska. (Schutt) Duhachek, was born March 15, 1927, on the family farm southeast of Meadow Grove, Nebraska. Raymond died Monday, December 16, 2013, at Community Pride Care Center, Battle Creek, Nebraska. Raymond attended East Emerick School near the family home in Madison County, Nebraska. On November 21, 1952, he was married to JoAnne Avery. Raymond spent his entire life caring for the farm he was born on, with the exception of serving in the military in the 1950's during the Korean War. He loved his farm, working on tractors and automobiles, and worked very hard raising his hogs and cattle. Raymond never really had any time to rest as there was always something that had to be done…weeds to hoe, trees to cut, clean around buildings, build something, take care of his family…he was always busy. Raymond's farm was the love of his life, but if he had time, he really liked to visit with people anyone. Raymond was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Norfolk, Nebraska, and reaffirmed his faith through baptism there on April 10, 1999, having been previously baptized in his childhood years. Raymond is survived by: wife of over 61 years, JoAnne Duhachek of Meadow Grove, Nebraska; son, Todd (wife Debra) Duhachek of Ewing, Nebraska; daughters, Kathy (husband Ronald F.) Tuma of Waukomis, Oklahoma, Judy (husband Brian) Seiffert of Omaha, Nebraska, and Jeri (husband David) Hoffman of Clearwater, Nebraska; grandchildren, Robert Duhachek, Becky (husband Ralph) Seger, John (wife Stephanie) Duhachek, Jaclyn (husband Steve) Holmes, Andrea (husband Nick) Rigney, Michael Tuma, Christopher (wife Chelsea) Tuma, Aron (husband Jason) Baier, Amy Seiffert, Kaitlyn Hoffman, Zachary Hoffman; great-grandchildren, Karlee and Mason Seger, Beau and Wyatt Duhachek, Matthew Holmes, Scarlett Rigney, and Jason P., Gabriel, Promise, Zion, Isreal, and Lincoln Baier; and sisters, Verona Beech and Fern Deck. Raymond was preceded in death by: parents, John C. and Dorothea Duhachek; infant brother, Malvin LeRoy Duhachek; grandparents, Frank and Mary Duhachek and Henry and Caroline Schutt; and brothers-in-law, Norman Deck and J.C. "Bill" Beech and grandson, Ronald R. "Ron" Tuma, who preceded his Grandfather, Raymond Duhachek by a few hours. Burial was in Emerick Cemetery, rural Meadow Grove, Nebraska.
