Burial was in the Ideal Cemetery with military rites by the Huron Veterans Council. Raymond Keith Jenner was born October 27, 1931, to Edwin and Genevieve (Fisher) Jenner at Miller. He received his education from the Rosedale Country School at St. Lawrence. On September 1, 1950, Raymond joined the United States Army, where he served as a corporal stationed in Alaska. He was honorably discharged on May 23, 1952. He farmed for thirty years, worked at the State School in Redfield for thirteen years, at the Turkey Plant in Watertown for four years, at a hog farm for one year, and for Cronin Dairy of Huron for fifteen years. On June 15, 1996, Raymond married Nancy Decker at Huron. In 2004, Raymond moved to Courtyard Apartment in Huron, and in July 2011, he moved to Rapid City Memorial Park Apartments. Raymond enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and all kinds of sports. He also liked bingo, putting jigsaw puzzles together and working word search puzzles. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nancy on February 28, 2004; one son, Douglas on June 17, 1957; and one daughter, Sheryl Schurch on March 7, 1974. Grateful for sharing his life are his children, Deborah Moser of Rapid City, Kenneth (Bette) Jenner of Watertown, Allen Jenner of Watertown, Diane (Larry) Merchant of Watertown, and Barbara (Steve Geranen) Hefferman of Watertown; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; four sisters, Darlene (Harvey) Lawson of Cosmopolis, Washington, Thelma (Harrold) Grimm of Catalina, Arizona, Evelyn (Lyle) Marshall of Rapid City, and Donna (Charles) Riley of Madison; and two brothers, Merle (Judy) Jenner of Miller, and Roger (Marvis) Jenner of Brookings.
