He was born Feb. 16, 1920, at Hoskins to Henry and Dorothy (Schneider) Walker. He attended school to the eighth grade, District 60, Wayne County. He was baptized May 2, 1920, and confirmed Aug. 5, 1940, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Norfolk. After marriage to Frances Puls Dec. 3, 1950, at Peace United Church of Christ, Norfolk, they lived at Wayne. Raymond worked seven years for American Breeding Service. They farmed in the Hoskins area. In 1958, they moved to their home place west of the Peace Church. They were married for 62 years. He was a member of Peace United Church of Christ, Norfolk, and Nebraska Two Cylinder Tractor Club. Survivors include wife Frances Walker of Norfolk; children Mark and wife Vicki Walker of Norfolk, Linda and husband Brad Bartlett of Omaha, Neal and wife Debra Walker of Hoskins; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Wesley and wife Joan Walker of Prescott Valley, Ariz., Don and wife Marlene Walker of Norfolk; one sister, Lillian Heckman of Hadar. He was preceded in death by parents; one son (Duane 1969); two brothers, Ben and Marvin; two sisters, Florence and Marian. Music will be by organist Mrs. Marcia Prussa and congregational hymns "Abide With Me," "Rock Of Ages," "How Great Thou Art." Casket bearers will be Travis Walker, Brian Walker, Allen Walker, Eric Walker, Angela Nannen, Jessica Bartlett, Rebecca Bartlett. Honorary casket bearers will be two great-grandchildren, Ashlynn Frances Walker and Walker Earl Nannen.
