BROWN Raymond Otis Brown was born on the 25th of March, 1882 at Tarkio, Atchison Co, Mo. At the age of one year he moved with his parents to Charles Mix Co, So. Dak., where he grew to manhood. He enlisted in the regular army in 1904, serving two years in the Philippine Island, completing his term of service at Fort Logan, Colorado, where he was honorably discharged. BROWN Raymond Otis Brown was born on the 25th of March, 1882 at Tarkio, Atchison Co, Mo. At the age of one year he moved with his parents to Charles Mix Co, So. Dak., where he grew to manhood. He enlisted in the regular army in 1904, serving two years in the Philippine Island, completing his term of service at Fort Logan, Colorado, where he was honorably discharged. Since that time he worked at various places and died at Custer, So. Dak., Dec. 21, 1917, aged 35 years, 8 months and 26 days. He leaves to mourn his loss three brothers, A. E. and A. J. of Platte, So, Dak, and D. F. of Bloomfield, Mont, and one sister Mrs. Maggie Leedom, of Dakota City, Nebr. He was buried by the side of his father and mother in the Old Platte Cemetery, Dec. 26. Rev. H. E. Rice of the Methodist Church officiated.
